This easy and delicious peach cobber only requires 15 minutes to assemble and 30 minutes of baking time. It has four cups of peaches and a buttery, sweet, whole wheat crust!
My typical Monday morning blog post is a little late today. I spent much of the day running errands, packing, and cleaning house. 🙂 Despite the busyness, I managed to sneak in a little time practicing my guitar. (There’s always time for music, right?)
Sorry, that’s kind of random.
Today I’m thinking about spring and summer desserts.
Peach cobbler is one of my all time favorite treats. You can’t beat sweet, juicy, fresh peaches surrounded by a buttery crust.
Yum. I’ll take the whole dish, thank you.
Easy Peach Cobbler
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup whole wheat flour OR unbleached, all purpose flour
- 1 cup Sucanat OR regular refined sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 4 cups fresh sliced peaches
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Place 1/2 cup butter in 13×9 baking dish and place dish in oven for 4-5 minutes or until butter is melted. Remove from oven.
Meanwhile, in a medium sized bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and blend well. Pour over melted butter. Sprinkle chopped peaches evenly over batter. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden.
