After last week’s chill, today’s warm 70 degrees is welcome. We’ve enjoyed the opportunity to throw open all the doors and windows and let fresh breezes waft through the house. Birds are chirping outside the window, and I can hear the sound of squirrels chattering and running through the leaves around our house while searching for food.
In light of thinking about warmer weather and spring, I’m sharing more pictures of one of my favorite subjects today: flowers.
This particular flower is called the Bearded Iris.
“When through the woods, and forest glades I wander,
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees.
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur
And see the brook and feel the gentle breeze.
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!”
