Chocolate Marshmallow Candy

This easy Chocolate Marshmallow Candy doesn’t require any cooking, and you only need five ingredients!  Don’t let the unphotogenic properties fool you; this stuff is delicious! 😀

It’s Day 13 of cookie and candy recipes leading up to Christmas!  I can hardly believe that it’s only three more days until Christmas.   It seems that the older I get, the faster time moves.  I’m finished with holiday baking at my house (aside from a pie I’m making for Christmas dinner), but I’ll be making cookies with family at some point this weekend.  This series of desserts has been really fun, but I am ready to get back to my “generally” healthier eating now. 🙂  Guess what, all of the goodies I baked are already gone!  Between all the help from family and friends, it didn’t take long for the tins of treats to disappear.  (Thanks everyone!  Haha.)

Today I’m sharing my grandma’s Chocolate Marshmallow Candy recipe.  She would often make it at Christmastime, and mom makes this candy as well, so it holds a lot of memories for me.  It’s also just plain delicious.  (Both of my grandmas are pretty talented in the kitchen; I can’t go wrong with one of their recipes.) 🙂

Despite the tastiness of this candy, it isn’t exactly photogenic.  I tried so hard to make it look pretty, but nope!  You’re just going to have to trust me when I say it is definitely worth buying the required five ingredients and throwing it together in time for Christmas!

The texture is slightly fudgy, with lots of marshmallows and pecans.  Casey said the flavor reminds him of rocky road ice cream, and I’ve also been told that it tastes like hot chocolate in candy form.  Either one sounds good to me!

Chocolate Marshmallow Candy

  • Servings: about 40 pieces of candy
  • Print

Ingredients

  • 22 ounces semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 13 ounce jar marshmallow creme
  • 1 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 10 ounce package miniature marshmallows
  • 3 cups pecan pieces

Directions

Line counter top or a table with wax paper.

Place chocolate chips in large, microwave safe bowl, and microwave in 15 second bursts (stirring each time) until chocolate is melted.  Add all other ingredients and stir with a wooden spoon until mixture is well combined and very thick.  (Don’t try to use your mixer on this one; the chocolate mixture will be very stiff and sticky and you will burn up your mixer.)

Once the candy is very thick, work quickly to drop candy onto wax paper by spoonfuls of about 3 Tablespoons each.  It’s easiest to use two spoons, one to scoop and one to scrape the mixture off the first spoon.

Gently lay another sheet of wax paper over top of candy and let stand overnight.  Candy will firm up and be ready to eat!
