It’s a relatively chilly afternoon here in Florida! I can’t believe that I’m defining 60 degrees and breezy as chilly. I did say “relatively” right? This morning I was so excited about some cooler weather that I decided to wear a light sweater to church, and I got so warm I almost melted. *whew*
So much for the sweater.
Today I’m going to share a few pictures from what I consider to be one of the prettiest little spots on earth, Prim, Arkansas.
Prim is a tiny, secluded community nestled in the Ozarks in north central Arkansas. It is also the location of a small group of getaway cabins, known as Longbow Resort. I received the opportunity to visit the area with family and a couple of friends when I was in college. The cabins are quiet and rustic, surrounded by woods, creeks, small waterfalls, and breathtaking views.
If you’ve ever been looking for the perfect isolated getaway with complete quiet and no cell service, check this place out! 🙂
Here are some of my favorite pictures from my visit eight years ago. I thought these deserved a blog post.
The scenery on the way to the resort is so pretty that it’s difficult to capture! These beautiful fields aren’t too far away from the cabins if you feel like going for a drive.
This horse says, “Yes, I’m gorgeous and I know it”.
The tiny waterfall and pool below is hidden in the woods, a short walk from one of the cabins.
More fields; the little yellow flowers were in full bloom! All the cows stopped to watch us drive by.
I want to follow these roads around the next bend.
The waterfall below is located right next to one of the cabins. You can eat breakfast while listening to the water running just outside the cabin window.
We got permission to swim in the pool below the waterfall. It was early enough in the year that the water was more than a little chilly, but I stood the cold long enough to get a picture for posterity. 🙂
