This delicious white sauce pizza is on the healthier side and is topped with black beans, spinach, and mozzarella cheese.
Good morning! Today’s post is going to be quick, as I am on a mission to get some outside painting done. The skies are currently threatening rain, but I’m hoping that the dark clouds will go away soon. I don’t know why we thought it would be a good idea to paint our deck during Florida’s rainy season. The attempt has become an ongoing battle between us and the rain clouds. I’m convinced they think it’s a game.
Katherine: “Hey, the weather is nice and the radar is indicating no rain until this afternoon! I’m going to get some painting done!”
Clouds: “Oh, well, I’ll just move a little faster then.” *clouds arrive and sit over house for hours without raining, and then start pouring as soon as Katherine considers going back outside*
Katherine: “Seriously? I hate you guys.”
Since the rain is being so annoying, I would rather write about this pizza. It is Friday, after all, and Friday evenings make the best pizza nights at our house. 🙂
Black beans are one of my favorite pizza toppings. They are delicious and add a nice protein boost, making the pizza filling without being too heavy. Add some white sauce, spinach, and mozzarella cheese, and the result is a very tasty meal!
*Random aside* I enjoy sharing my recipes, but taking pictures of the food before I eat it does make me feel kind of ridiculous, and I get cracked up at myself sometimes. My apologies to all the “foodies” out there, but I personally don’t get the social media phenomenon of, “Let’s photograph ALL the food!!!”. I don’t have a problem with it; I just don’t understand it. Before I started my food blog, I only took such pictures on occasion (for instance, if I had cooked or baked something new and wanted to share). Even here, I simply try to post a few appetizing photos to show you what the food looks like and give you the desire to try the recipe. I don’t spend much time styling the dishes or baked goods, and my photos have very little editing. My husband and I eat everything that I post. This can be kind of amusing when Casey is hungry and I’m trying to get in a quick photography session before slicing the pizza. *End random aside*
Enjoy and happy Friday!

My husband and I aren’t fans of the traditional tomato sauce, and we love white sauce pizza. You should definitely try it sometime! 🙂
