While the main focus of my blog is sharing my cooking and baking adventures and recipes, I want to share little bits of my life here and there as well.  After all, it is a person behind these recipes, not a robot. 🙂

So, here is this week’s snippet.

My husband and I went to San Diego on a business trip about a year and a half ago.  I grew up in Arkansas and have since moved to Florida, so San Diego was completely new to me.  It was beautiful and if I had the chance to go back, I would take it! 🙂

I’ve always been fascinated with the ocean:  the sound of the waves, the salt smell in the air, and all the widely varying creatures that live in the water.  My grandpa once told me of being out in a boat on the Pacific Ocean at night, and how brilliant the stars were so far from land.  Ever since hearing that, I determined that one day I wanted to see the Pacific and watch the sun set over the ocean.

And so I did.
