Championship Chocolate Chip Bars

A family favorite dessert, these Chocolate Chip Bars have a buttery crust on the bottom and a gooey, sweet layer on top that is full of chocolate chips!  (Reprinted with permission of The Hershey Company.)

Any time I meet a dessert containing chocolate chips, we become instant friends.

My mom and I clipped the recipe for these chocolate chip bars out of a HERSHEY’S magazine years ago, and we have both made them many times since then.  Everywhere we take these bars, they get rave reviews.

So imagine my excitement when I found the recipe online and was given permission to share this family favorite on my blog!

Chocolate Chip Bars 2 - KintheKitchen

There are certain desserts that I choose to enjoy without worrying at all about the healthy aspect of things.  That is the case here.

It’s pretty easy to see why when you look at the pictures.  A crumbly, buttery crust is topped with a gooey, sweet layer filled with chocolate chips.

Delicious.  If anyone can’t find me, I’ll be over here munching on one of these bars.
